This housing project was very complex, firstly because of the site, it is located in a very hilly area so the topography represented a great challenge, this kind of sites, which can be found throughout Mexico City, are usually solved with very expensive structures that deny the nature of the topography and become planes over a hill, with no sense of site. On the other hand, the value of the project needed to have access through both sides; having a 35 meter difference in height became a difficult solution for the project.

This project consists of four buildings which adapt to thetopography as terraces. Vehicles circulate between the buildings, making it possible to enter the complex either from it’s highest or lowest level. People walk through bridges which connect the buildings in the access levels of the apartments. The project has 57 apartments, 8 of which develop in two floors (duplex), while the rest develop in three floors (triplex).

This project resides in an exclusive development called Bosques de Santa Fe, within a ravine which has been cleaned and rehabilitated, making place to high-priced housing with a private first-class golf course. The project consists of two twenty six level towers with three underground parking levels. The lot destined for these buildings is located in the east end of the development, serving as a barrier, limiting views within Bosques de Santa Fe.

Through the idea of making the horizontal cuts of the various platforms evident, the horizontal planes of the whole building became stronger in order to give the whole façade the sense of movement, differing it from the traditional skyscraper.
The position of the buildings responds to various restrictions, particular to the land, and to the intention of accentuating the best views of the golf course.

This project is placed in Av. Nuevo Leon in the hip neighborhood of La Condesa,in Mexico City. The area in which it stands is protected by local and federal authorities for its architectural value, so we tried tomake a design that would not compete with its surroundings, exposing one of its sides to a street with smaller buildings. The complex is formed by two bodies, one to the front, living into the great trees which form the avenue, with two floored apartments,the second building is formed by one floor apartments which live towards a central plaza where a dialog develops between both buildings.
